We reward moms for caring for their children and themselves socially and academically, enhancing self-esteem and self-sufficiency.

HoG works with Origins, the natural beauty and cosmetics company, to produce the Mom-of-the-Monthprogram.  This program treats deserving mothers to a “Pampering Extravaganza,” which rewards personal growth and positive parenting skills.  HoG tops it off with a $100 gift certificate toward Origins beauty products.   New and lightly-used clothing is dry-cleaned and distributed at Clothing Fairs throughout the year to enhance families’ wardrobes and provide interview outfits for moms returning to the workforce.

One Mom of the Month, a nursing student whose son has attention deficit disorder,  was teary-eyed throughout the Origins “Pampering Extravaganza,” which made it hard to keep her newly applied mascara from running.  She commented, “no one has ever done anything like this for me before in my life.”  She is succeeding in her nursing career and still remembers to pamper herself every so often.
