Hearts of Gold is thrilled to announce our 13th annual Fall Fundraising
Gala, "It's A Love Thing!" The
event will feature Mistress of Ceremonies Soledad O’Brien,
who is Anchor and Special Correspondent for CNN as well as Hearts
of Gold’s
Goodwill Ambassador.
"It's A Love Thing!" will
be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2009 at Metropolitan Pavilion
in New York City, and will feature a cocktail reception and a live
auction. The 2008 event included appearances by:
| • | Actress, Director, and Producer Tamara Tunie, Honorary Chair |
| • | Actress and Singer-Songwriter Vanessa L. Williams, Advisory Board Member |
| • | Academy-Award Winning Actress Marcia Gay Harden, Advisory Board Member |
| • | Supermodel Emme Aronson, Advisory Board Member |
The evening’s highlight will be a runway fashion show with the fall collections of designers such as Beth Bowley, Teenflo, Transit and Zapa. Proceeds from "It's A Love Thing!" will be used to support the mothers and children at three Manhattan shelters: Icahn House East, LLC; Semiperm HDFC; and Nazareth Housing.
