Sophisticated Ladies - This year’s Honorary Chair is Law & Order SVU’s Tamara Tunie. Soledad O’Brien, Anchor and Special Correspondent for CNN and Hearts of Gold’s Goodwill Ambassador is the Mistress of Ceremonies. Marvelous friends of Hearts of Gold include: Ivana, Academy Award® winning actresses Marcia Gay Harden and Susan Sarandon, Emmy Award® winning actresses Laura Linney and Edie Falco, Bobbi Brown, Grammy® winner Vanessa Williams and Kirsten Dunst.

Hearts of Gold's mission is to enhance the lives of New York City’s homeless moms and their young children and operates as a §501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Beneficiaries include three New York City shelters: Icahn House East, a transitional housing facility for 92 homeless women and their young children; Nazareth Housing, serving 13 families and Semiperm, a single-parent community created by Settlement Housing Fund, serving 23 families. Over $350,000 was raised at the 2007 Gala and this year – the sky’s the limit!
